This month, we had the honor of receiving a visit from Tim Atkin MW , one of the most prestigious international wine critics, at our winery. During his tour of the Canary Islands, Tim Atkin personally selected El Grifo to award it the "Medal of Excellence" in the Wine Tourism category of his 2025 ranking.

This recognition, which places El Grifo among the Top 100 wine tourism experiences in the Canary Islands , highlights the value of our history, the uniqueness of our vineyards, and the quality of the experience we offer our visitors.

Tim Atkin's visit is a boost for the entire El Grifo team, which works every day to preserve and share a winemaking heritage that stretches back more than two and a half centuries, in a unique setting shaped by Lanzarote's volcanic nature.

We would like to thank Tim Atkin for his interest and for this recognition, which encourages us to continue improving and share our passion for our region and our wines with all our visitors.
