LA VANGUARDIA. 96 POINTS FOR OUR 'VENDIMIA DE INVIERNO 2024' IN THE 2026 WINE GUIDE.

This weekend, Lluís Tolosa wrote about our 'Vendimia de Invierno 2024' (Winter Harvest) in La Vanguardia's 2026 Wine Guide, awarding it 96 points.

Tolosa acknowledges that we have achieved something unprecedented in European viticulture: carrying out the first early winter harvest.

When the vine stopped respecting the traditional cycle and threatened to sprout spontaneously, we decided to prune it in September. The result: 5,000 kilos of Volcanic Malvasia harvested in March, with a slow and balanced ripening that enhanced the vibrant acidity, saline character and citrus, mineral and herbal notes that define our volcanic land.

The critic emphasizes that this wine represents our ability to readapt the entire productive cycle of the vine, continuing the tradition of heroic viticulture that our ancestors began after the eruptions of 1730.

And precisely now, in these weeks of February, we have already started the harvest work for the new edition of this 'Vendimia de Invierno', consolidating this innovative cycle that places us at the forefront of viticultural adaptation to climate change.
