Welcome to our home

For more than two centuries, this house was the heart of the current family that owns the EL GRIFO winery.

Inhabited continuously until 1998, it was carefully transformed into a charming accommodation, then called "Caserío de Mozaga", which preserves the soul of its history.

Built on volcanic ash, the house combines the understated elegance of traditional Lanzarote architecture with the comfort of a serene, intimate, and authentic stay. Each room tells a story. Every corner holds the silence of ancient stone and the memory of wine.

Today, under the name Hotel El Grifo , it offers its guests a unique experience connecting with the most authentic Lanzarote. A serene place to experience the legacy of one of the oldest wineries in Spain and discover the origins of viticulture on the island.

The Vineyard of the Impossible

At EL GRIFO we have been making wine for 250 years in one of the most demanding areas in the world.

The volcanic soil, the lack of rain and the constant wind force us to work the vines manually, plant by plant, using traditional techniques adapted to the environment.

Each vine grows in a pit protected by a stone wall, seeking water in the depths and sheltering from the weather.
