On April 7th, on the occasion of the 38th Salón Gourmets in Madrid, EL GRIFO organized an exclusive tasting under the title "250 Years of Heroic Viticulture," where attendees were able to discover wines with more than a century of history, along with the company's most innovative creations.
Directed by the winemaker Elisa Ludeña and the winery advisor Xabier Kamio , this tasting offered a unique experience to learn firsthand about EL GRIFO's legacy and its evolution over the years. Participants sampled historical wines dating back to 1881, along with the winery's latest avant-garde offerings, such as the Winter Harvest.
The event took place within the framework of the prestigious Gourmets Hall from Madrid, a meeting point for haute cuisine and the wine sector.
This initiative reinforces our winery's commitment to preserving winemaking traditions in the unique landscape of La Geria, an emblematic territory known as the "vineyard of the impossible," where viticulture defies the adversities of Lanzarote's volcanic terrain.
With this celebration, EL GRIFO reaffirms its leadership in Canary Islands viticulture and its commitment to excellence, combining history, innovation, and a passion for wine.
