An exceptional symbiosis between two grape varieties that ferment separately and come together to undergo malolactic fermentation in barrel, achieving a perfect balance between typicity and elegance.

The Listán Negro, an indigenous and pre-phylloxera variety, contributes its distinctive aroma and volcanic expression, while the Syrah, planted in 2000, adds color, structure, and depth, allowing for a harmonious aging in French oak.

After its time in barrel, the wine refines in bottle, developing aromatic complexity with interwoven notes of ripe fruit, spices, and subtle toasted hints, supported by a broad, balanced, and persistent palate.

The result is a sophisticated red wine with an Atlantic soul, reflecting the singularity of Lanzarote’s vineyards and the innovative spirit of EL GRIFO.

Tasting notes

A blend of Listán Negro and Syrah that combines Atlantic freshness and structure, with aromatic complexity marked by red fruit and toasted nuances. Oak ageing adds roundness and elegance, while the soft tannins support a balanced and persistent finish.

Elaboration:

Both varietals are made separately, blending the two before malolactic fermentation. This second fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, of different toasts and with a capacity of 500 L, seeking to increase complexity and balance between fruit and wood, this wine is aged for 6 months. Its production ends after a period of aging in the bottle for 6 months, which provides roundness and smoothness.
