More than 25 years ago, we planted Syrah vines under the volcanic ash of our family vineyard as a complementary variety to the local Listán Negro for producing our classic red wine, ARIANA. From those grapes, we also crafted a small batch of this long-aged, single-varietal wine.
After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is carefully transferred to new oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, softening its character and embracing the wood. Over 12 months, it matures in the shadows, gaining complexity and depth before being bottled. There, in its glass sanctuary, it will continue aging for a year before being labeled. A wine of long life, it will continue to evolve favorably over the next 10 years.
Visually, it presents an intense garnet red, deep and almost hypnotic, foreshadowing the richness of its character. On the nose, it reveals a seductive complexity: exotic spices, balsamic notes that caress the senses, and an intriguing balance between ripe black fruit and delicate roasted hints that invite slow discovery.
On the palate, it unveils with sweet, perfectly ripe tannins, wrapping the mouth in a silky, gentle smoothness that lingers, leaving a mark of pure sophistication.

COLOUR
Intense red with a high layer of color, with mahogany nuances after passing through barrels
NOSE
Intense and complex. Aromas of ripe black fruit (plum, blackberry, blueberry) combine with spicy (black pepper, clove) and balsamic notes. There are also hints of cocoa, tobacco, fine leather, and elegant toasted notes from the barrel.
PALATE
Powerful, rounded structure. Ripe, polished tannins. A full palate with a silky, fresh, and flavorful mid palate. Long finish with notes of black fruit, volcanic minerality, and an elegant smoky note.
Tasting notes
A family-vine Syrah that combines power and elegance, with a solid structure and polished tannins that envelop a core of ripe fruit. Aging in French oak adds layers of complexity and a refined spicy and balsamic character, while volcanic minerality enhances a long, distinguished finish.
Elaboration:
We produce an exceptional wine for aging, with long aging, using Syrah grapes from our family vineyard. The harvest takes place in mid-August, where we carefully select the grapes, remove the stems, and ferment with the whole grapes. During this process, we carry out continuous pumping overs to promote optimal extraction of flavors and aromas. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to new 500-liter French oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for twelve months. The wine is then bottled and rests for at least a year before being labeled, thus ensuring its unique quality and character.
