As you bring your nose to the glass, intense aromas of mango, pineapple, and a hint of lemon unfold, intertwined with delicate notes of orange blossom and jasmine. On the palate, it is light and refreshing, with a subtle hint of fennel that complements its citrus bouquet. This white wine is a perfect choice for those seeking a drink full of tropical and floral aromas in perfect harmony.
Elaboration:
The grapes come from four winegrowers in Tinajo and were harvested on July 22, 2022. The grapes were manually harvested into 18-20 kg boxes, where they were stored in a climate-controlled chamber until the following day, before being pressed without destemming. After a 24-hour static settling, the must began fermentation with our own yeasts. Once this was completed, 30% of the batch was placed in 500-liter French oak barrels, while the remaining portion was kept in tanks. The lees were kept in suspension for 7 months. Battonage was performed manually in the barrels. A blend of both aging stages was performed, and the wine was subsequently clarified. Bottling took place on March 24, 2022, and continued aging in the bottle for approximately 8 to 12 more months before being released to the market.

What the experts say
The Grifo Malvasía Lías stands out for its straw yellow color, with light golden tones. Clean and bright. Notes of fresh fruit, citrus (orange peel) and tropical (passion fruit, mango) predominate, as well as flowers (orange blossom, jasmine, violet), fennel, and complex aromas such as flint or flint (phosphorus). The autolysis of the yeasts brings to mind aromas of bakery and yeast, and the aging in the bottle provides nuts, honey and caramel. GOURMET ARCHIPELAGO - October 2023
