Sourced from a small co-planted plot at the foot of Mount Testeina, this wine is born as a tribute to Lanzarote's winemaking tradition. In those days, vineyards were planted with different varieties growing side-by-side, a practice that reflected the wisdom of the island's farmers and their ability to work in harmony with the volcanic landscape.

From this philosophy arises a co-fermentation of Malvasía Volcánica and Vijariego Blanco, two historic varieties that complement each other naturally. Malvasía Volcánica contributes an intense aromatic character, a rich texture, and a distinct minerality typical of ash soils. Vijariego Blanco, for its part, provides a firm and precise acidity that balances the whole.

The result is a fresh, deep and authentic wine, capable of expressing the essence of a unique territory and keeping alive a way of cultivating that defines the history of wine in Lanzarote.

Tasting notes

Pale, bright gold in appearance. Complex aroma with white fruit, citrus, honey, herbs, and a mineral touch. On the palate, it is ample, fresh, and balanced, with volume, vibrancy, and a persistent saline, citrus, and slightly smoky finish, marked by its aging in foudre.

Elaboration:

The selected batch is made from whole-cluster pressing, aiming for greater aromatic complexity and structure on the palate. After obtaining the must, it undergoes settling to remove the coarser particles, preserving the cleanest and most expressive fraction. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks with the inoculation of indigenous yeasts, previously selected in the laboratory. When fermentation is nearing completion, the wine is transferred to a 3,000-liter French oak foudre, where the process slowly concludes, gently integrating the nuances of the wood. After fermentation, the wine ages in the same foudre for a year, developing greater volume, texture, and elegant complexity before bottling.
