Appointment to head the wine tourism department

Joining the customer experience and wine tourism management team

We are looking for a person with a managerial profile, a vocation for customer service and business vision, capable of coordinating the entire team that welcomes and attends to the visitor at the winery and at the Caserío de Mozaga —the family home of the owners, converted into a rural hotel in 1998 and recovered in 2024 to be integrated into the EL GRIFO brand as a boutique hotel with its own restaurant.

Their mission will be to take to the next level a wine tourism proposal recognized in 2025 with the Tourism Excellence Award from the Government of the Canary Islands: turning each visit into the beginning of a lasting relationship, transforming visitors into repeat buyers and genuine ambassadors of EL GRIFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the visitor and customer service team at all winery touchpoints: shop, wine bar, tasting experiences, hotel reception and restaurant at Hotel EL GRIFO (in Mozaga)
  • Define and maintain service standards and welcome protocols throughout the operation
  • Develop premium, private, high-value customer-oriented experiences
  • Design and manage a loyalty program: wine club, exclusive events, VIP service
  • Manage the complete visitor cycle: booking → visit → purchase → repurchase → recommendation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to increase average ticket price and customer loyalty rate
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the area: NPS, conversion to purchase, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in communicating experiences and managing online reputation.
  • Report to warehouse management

Skills and requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience leading customer service teams in quality environments: hotel, restaurant, winery or premium experiential tourism
  • Spanish and English are essential; other languages ​​are a plus (German, French, Italian)
  • Leadership, communication, and sales skills
  • Genuine knowledge and appreciation for the world of wine
  • Proactive, decisive profile with the ability to make decisions
  • Experience in customer loyalty and experiential selling
  • Versatility to coordinate multidisciplinary teams with a positive attitude
