El Grifo travels back in time - Wine tourism in Lanzarote
A wine tourism visit back in time to the oldest winery in the Canary Islands (the 5th oldest in Spain), to the family origins when Timanfaya barely erupted in 1730 and covered the island of lava for 6 years followed until 1736. You will be surprised by the importance of the saga of women in the only known matriarchal heritage winery that has produced wines for almost 250 years without interruption. Or the history of the Canari, the wine that was a hit of sales in London in the 17th and 18th centuries.
